  • Third-degree arson is  setting a fire for the purpose of insurance fraud, or setting fire to a non-building piece of property that is worth more than $50. This would include things like cars or bikes.  This can lead to 15 years in prison.
  • Fourth-degree arson is attempted arson. This can lead to 10 years in prison.
