Brian Morton
Driver’s License Expert

Attorney Brian K. Morton comes to the Edge Law Firm after spending much of his career as the Assistant General Counsel for the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, where he worked taking away drivers licenses from Oklahoma motorists. Today, he is using that knowledge and experience to help you fight for your license. His firsthand knowledge of DUI law and the prosecutorial tactics of the State make him a tremendous asset to the firm as he fights for the rights of our client. His expertise in the area of implied consent and DUI laws is put to work every day at the Edge Law Firm, where he focuses only on Driver’s License Defense.

An Oklahoma native, Mr. Morton graduated magna cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma before entering the Oklahoma College of Law. After graduating from law school in 2000, he began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He then worked as a top criminal defense attorney, even establishing his own practice. Mr. Morton returned to his roots as a distinguished prosecutor when he accepted a position at the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety in 2008 as Assistant General Counsel.

Results Matter

Brian has on three occasion developed unique issues and won his case. The State appealed each time and eventually the Supreme Court ruled- EACH TIME IN HIS FAVOR — over 10,000 breath tests cases were dismissed due to Brian and these three cases.

Then he attacked a new law passed by our legislature. Among other items, it would have made it a crime to refuse a breath test. Yes, it would have been a crime to refuse to incriminate yourself. Not only did he challenge the law and get it declared unconstitutional, in an unbelievable act, he did this before the law ever went into effect.

Mr. Morton says, “I spent a small career taking Drivers’ Licenses away until I decided it was time to fight for people’s rights instead of against them. I am on your side now.”
