ADSAC Course (DUI School) in Oklahoma
In Oklahoma, anyone who has had his or her license suspended or revoked because of a DUI arrest must take a DUI Alcohol and Drug Substance Abuse Course (ADSAC). This alcohol and drug course assesses chemical dependency. Depending on the outcome of this assessment, you could be referred to the appropriate intervention.
How the Test Works
Typically, the chemical dependency assessment will consist of an interview with a certified drug and alcohol counselor. The counselor will determine your level of dependency on drugs or alcohol, based on the answers you give to the questions they ask. The results of this test will determine what type of treatment you may need.
ADSAC or DUI School
ADSAC, sometimes referred to as DUI School, consists of either 10 or 24 hours of curriculum addressing the consequences and the dangers of using alcohol or drugs while operating a motor vehicle.
If it is determined that you have a serious drug or alcohol dependency issue, you might be required to attend an in-patient treatment with mandatory aftercare.
