Hunsucker, Edge v. Fallin

Brian Morton of the Edge Law Firm was awarded a National College for DUI Defense award for Appellate Advocacy for his work in the case of Hunsucker, Edge v. Fallin.  The case resulted in the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruling new DUI laws passed by the legislation unconstitutional.

The Appellate Advocacy Award is given by the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD) to a member who has most personified its mission by creatively, intellectually, thoughtfully and ethically practiced appellate work dedicated to preserving the rights of those accused in driving related cases. The individual has a reputation as a premier appellate attorney in the local legal community with an outstanding knowledge of the law that is matched by few others. This attorney may have led or participated in a major appellate project, such as Mr. Morton’s, which resulted in preserving the rights of those accused of impaired driving.
