Be careful that your attorney may be committing malpractice before he ever starts on your case. That’s a bold charge, and I know it, and it’s not something I say lightly. I actually had a case this week where the young lady was advised, by another attorney who was supposedly a DUI attorney, that there wasn’t even a reason to fight for her driver’s license. Because the number was high, and he couldn’t win it.
But you know what? After I looked at the affidavit, on the face of the affidavit, we could of won the case. But because this attorney told her not to do anything, she had missed her 15 day deadline, and her driver’s license was gone. That’s malpractice in my mind because he didn’t want to do the work that was necessary to defend her. He just wanted to take her money and run to court as quickly as he could. Be careful. Get an attorney that is willing to fight for you.
